• Thanks to this wonderful charity, I gained a freedom which has been lost to me these past 5 years. This time yesterday I was just like you, sitting in my prison/living room reading testimonials about this charity. Well what have I got to say to you? Pick up the phone right now and call your nearest shopmobility centre. I'm certain you'll be as lucky as I was to find yourself chatting to the loveliest of people, so kind, considerate and helpful.

They have thought of everything to help people like you and me. So call make arrangements to go see them, take your driving licence, passport or something with your photo on and a bill with your address on and if you have a wee passport style photo take it along too and that's it that's all you need to get your freedom and independence back!!! The paper work is one sheet and requires your name, address, DOB and the name and address of an emergency contact. That's it! Then you'll be popped on a scooter (well in my case it was a scooter), and be given the simple instructions for its use, then out the door for a quick go around the block, just to get comfortable with its use. And that's it!!! Off I went for a days shopping in Belfast, first time in five years!!! Oh and don't worry if you don't feel confident enough to go by yourself and you haven't any family or friends available to go with you, because one of the brilliant volunteers at the charity will offer to go with you!! How wonderful is that, they really have thought of everything to help people like us. So don't hold back phone them today, if you phone through to Belfast you'll get a chance to meet the team there. There's Mark, a really lovely and kind chap, Ann-Marie who's really thoughtful and Tom who is just a hoot and puts you at ease straight away when you first try out the equipment, so helpful and kind.

Truly the most thoughtful and kind people I have met in an age they made a great day wonderful. So please give this fantastic charity a chance to change your life for the better and tell everyone you know to give them a try or lend them a helping hand they are a very deserving charity. So yesterday, Belfast, and my first adventure, thanks to shopmobility trust me it's the first of many. Don't forget to write and tell them about your first shopmobility adventure!

  • Dear Sir or Madam, My husband and I are from the Netherlands and came specially for a weekend trip to Belfast to enjoy Sail Belfast combined with the other attractions. We were very very disappointed when we found out that the hop on hop off bus couldn't drop us off near the Titanic museum, nor another bus or taxi as every route was closed. My husband is 79 and has difficulties walking. Then I noticed on the Tall Ship venue map ' Shopmobility Belfast' and went over there. I cannot express enough how reliefed and happy I was, that I could get a wheelchair for my husband! The service and assistance was outstanding. They walked with me back to my husband, I had the choice of two different wheelchairs, so he could pick whatever was the most comfortable and they looked after the walker. I can truly say, that your staff saved our holiday. From sadness and misery and anger to happiness and gratitude for so much friendliness and assistance. Again thank you very much and we will keep a nice memory of Belfast in our hearts. With kind regards, Anita Paap Netherlands

  • We really wanted to take a moment to extend a huge thank you to the ShopMobility Team at the Tall Ships/Odyssey last week. This was our first time using Shop Mobility and we were a little unsure of the process - and to be honest of using a scooter at all (though it was much needed). Your team, especially Mark and Kevin made the experience incredibly easy for us - and indeed an enjoyable one - such positive, helpful people - a delight to have met them. It was such a positive experience we can really see ourselves making use of Shop Mobility all the time - it has given us a new lease of life and we cannot thank you enough. With very best regards, Rosemarie and John Curran, Newcastle

The people were very friendly & helpful It was then that I learned there was mobility shops all over. These people worked 24-7 to help people like me, Mark & Tom  has helped me no end of times making a scooter available for Georges market and round town.I looked forward to going into their shop in Queen st on a Friday morning. The staff are second to none, they can't do enough for you.My life has change immensely thank you boys, yours big Jim

  • My Father asked me to pass on his thanks and appreciation with regards to the service you provide.  This is the second occasion when his own electric wheelchair has broke down and he has been able to hire a replacement temporarily from yourselves.  This is a service very hard to find and we are delighted we have found Shopmobilty!  He is very grateful of this service and the staff who provide it.  In particular he would like to pass on his gratitude to the staff that delivered the wheelchair yesterday, they couldn't be anymore helpful.
