  • I cannot thank you enough! Last week my elderly disabled mother needed to get to the bank & GPO to pay overdue bills and debits. She has had a bone fusion in her foot and is non-weight bearing, in addition to multiple non-visible disabilities.  We were able to hire a scooter from Annemarie & Paul in order to pay her bills: she was very anxious as they were overdue. My mother was treated with the utmost of kindness, dignity & respect in Gresham Street. You are so blessed to have an individual like Annemarie as she has the greatest of understanding and empathy. You are also blessed to have volunteers like Paul & Kelsey that put clients with limited mobility at ease! Without funding for such a service a lot of individuals like my mum, would feel like a burden on family & friends.  I cannot thank you enough for the help and support that you gave us and I cannot speak highly enough of your staff! Your service enables those with a lack of mobility to raise their confidence and self-esteem.  Thank you.

  • I just want to say a big thank you and the team for helping to make the Disability Exhibition a success.

    We had great feedback from the public, staff and volunteers about the friendly and efficient service that Shopmobility provided.  Everyone had a great two days and I think this was a result of a joint effort of all there on the two days, your team were so busy, especially the Friday but everyone had a smile on their face – even in the hot sun!

  • I cannot recommend Shop Mobility Belfast highly enough! When my two friends and I decided to do the Belfast Marathon in aid of Mencap in Northern Ireland’s Big Step Forward Appeal (www.mencapbigstepforward.org), we set off in search of a light-weight sports wheelchair for them to push me in. As I normally use a powered wheelchair, I did not have a manual chair of my own. From the moment we contacted Shop Mobility Belfast to enquire if they provided sports equipment such as a light-weight wheelchair, they were so friendly, helpful and kind. Not only did they provide us with an amazing wheelchair to use on the day of the marathon, but they went above and beyond to ensure we had time to practice in it as well. Without Shop Mobility Belfast, we would not have been able to participate in the marathon, so we are sincerely grateful. We could not be happier with the friendly and personal service they provided and would strongly urge anyone to get in touch with them to find out what they can help you achieve!

  • I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to both Peter and Amit , from the shopmobility at the RVH today. Two extremely helpful gents who put me through my "scooter test" (which I passed, girls) lol. The number of times that I have struggled around the hospital as both visiting and as a patient and I didn't know the place existed until today! Thanks again gents.   • Can I just say a huge thank you to Mark, Anne-Marie and the rest of the Team at Queen Street for all your help in hiring a mobility scooter for my dad. We were in Belfast from Scotland for a 2 day celebration and I contacted the shop in advance for information. Anne-Marie and Mark helped greatly in planning my trip and my worries about getting my dad about, as he has mobility problems due to an unsuccessful knee operation plus COPD and asthma. The service provided was first class from first contact, assessing, providing and delivering the scooter to our hotel and then collecting again on the Monday. It is a fantastic service to have to help people in situations like this - a must for any City. We hope to return again and will not hesitate to get in touch. Thanks guys from us all!

  • I saw your office at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast recently when my wife was a patient. Since discharge she has had to return to clinics and the use of your wheelchairs has been of tremendous benefit. Peter has been most helpful and we want to commend him for his good work and attitude. This is a most helpful and indeed essential service and if funds permit it should be extended to other hospitals. Very many thanks to your staff and volunteers for providing this excellent service.

  • I became a member recently as I need to borrow a mobility scooter when attending hospital for appointments. I had an appointment for 08:30 on 30/09/15 and one of the staff very kindly came in early so I could borrow a scooter. I am delighted by the availability of this service and the friendliness of the staff. It is a service which prevents my having to attend hospital appointments by ambulance transport and it helps me to retain a good level of independence in the management of my cancer appointments. I availed of the service at Belfast's Royal Hospital and I honestly believe the service should be available at all our major hospitals. It is a lifesaver for people with mobility difficulties. I can now go into town with friends knowing I can avail of the use of a scooter and go do simple things, like having coffee at a coffeeshop . Before joining, I rarely did so, because of my health problems. Thank you, Shopmobility, for providing a first class service and I hope you will continue to expand the range of locations in which you provide your service

  • WHAT A BRILLIANT SERVICE AT ROSE WEEK!

    It was a real pleasure to enjoy world-class customer care when I arrived at the Shopmobility stand at Dixon Park to be greeted by Mark, a man who knows how to put customers at ease! His attention to detail, his expertise and general optimistic attitude is refreshing these days. I was delighted to see that the excellent Shopmobility Scooter Service is expanding to other events where disabled tourists and locals can enjoy exploring places that would otherwise be too much of a challenge. A scooter service should be available at EVERY Visitor Attraction in Northern Ireland and a campaign should be launched to ensure that Service Cutbacks should NOT be allowed to affect the essential work of ShopMobility. Well done, Mark; you have restored my faith in the future of top-class customer relations.

  • Dear Sir or Madam, My husband and I are from the Netherlands and came specially for a weekend trip to Belfast to enjoy Sail Belfast combined with the other attractions. We were very very disappointed when we found out that the hop on hop off bus couldn't drop us off near the Titanic museum, nor another bus or taxi as every route was closed. My husband is 79 and has difficulties walking. Then I noticed on the Tall Ship venue map ' Shopmobility Belfast' and went over there. I cannot express enough how reliefed and happy I was, that I could get a wheelchair for my husband! The service and assistance was outstanding. They walked with me back to my husband, I had the choice of two different wheelchairs, so he could pick whatever was the most comfortable and they looked after the walker. I can truly say, that your staff saved our holiday. From sadness and misery and anger to happiness and gratitude for so much friendliness and assistance.
