How to Become a Member
To become a member and use our daily service which is FREE all you need to do is bring the following items on your first visit to any of our indoor Shopmobility Locations
- 2 x passport photos
- 1 x proof of address
- 1 x photographic ID
Our Volunteers will carry out an assessment and you will be shown how to operate the powered Scooters or Wheelchairs.
You will then be issued with a membership card that you can use in all Shopmobility Belfast Indoor and Outreach Locations.
Shopmobility Belfast would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the introduction of the new membership and reassessment forms.
The current changes may mean your visit with us takes longer than in previous times and you will be asked to complete a more detailed form.These updates are necessary to ensure Shopmobility Belfast complies with the terms needed to obtain insurance cover. Insurance is a vital financial protection that allows the service to you to continue. Without it we could not carry on hiring out equipment.
To meet the above requirements staff will try to process applications as quickly as possible. Please have patience with us while we introduce our new procedures. Staff are here to help you access our services and make the experience as pleasant and as efficient as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a condition that may effect your ability to control mobility equipment eg Epilepsy / Diabetes / blackouts etc please contact our main office before applying for membership. It is important that you are able to fully control Shopmobility Belfast's equipment for health and safety and insurance reasons.
